Join Rincon Research Corporation (RRC)At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security.Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee owned company, is seeking a talented, tenacious, results-driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists, and analysts who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions and leveraging them to make an operational mission impact.Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing and geolocation systems for the future!What are the primary responsibilities in the DSP/Communications Engineer position?Research, design, and develop digital signal processing (DSP) and communications systems deployed across CPU, GPU, and FPGA platforms.Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.Apply engineering, software, and mathematical analysis principles to the development of system solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.Develop test procedures and comprehensive technical documentation.Communicate within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes, and technical approaches.What required background will make you successful?Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience with one or more high-level language for signal processing algorithm development: Python (NumPy SciPy), MATLAB, X-Midas, etc.Some experience with some combination of C/C++Experience with design of digital signal processing algorithmsExperience with implementation of signal processing algorithms on CPU, GPU, and or/FPGAAbility to communicate algorithms and designs in written and oral reportsAbility to quickly grasp and come up-to-speed with complex code bases/designsExperience in one or more of the following areas: Satellite communicationsCellular communications systemsModern wireless protocolsModern modulation schemesModem designCoding theory and techniquesRadio Frequency (RF) system designRadar/Sonar/LIDARElectronic WarfareNovel signal processing algorithm developmentSignal geolocationSignal conditioningInterference cancelingStatistical signal processing techniques (Parameter estimation, state estimation using Kalman and particle filters, detection systems, adaptive filtering, etc.)Array processing and beamformingAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Advanced degree in EE or related field (applied math, physics, etc)Experience with LinuxStrong software implementation backgroundAbility to lead teams of 2-3 multidisciplinary engineers/scientistsDemonstrated success working with geographically distributed teamsInterest, aptitude, and/or experience in participating as a technical contributor to business captureWhere is the position located?This position is located at our Centennial, CO office.The likely salary range for this position is $190,000 to $233,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
