HourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 25%
A. Provide technical and musical instruction during rehearsals to youth involved
- B. Run rehearsals for and provide technical and musical instruction to the youth
- C. Developing Percussion shows.
- D. Communicate with youth, staff, and families regarding rehearsals and performances.
- E. Selection, maintenance, and/or distribution of necessary equipment to be purchased through the program budget.
- F. Supervise students during rehearsals and shows
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or higher.
- Experience and/or expertise in percussion performance.
- Experience and/or expertise in percussion writing or percussion instruction.
- Effective communication with staff, youth, and families.
- Professionalism and positive disposition.
- Has completed or is willing to complete all necessary clearances
- Physical Demands: Standing for up to 1-2 hours at a time (approximately 50+% of the time)
- Temperament: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
- Able to make judgments and work under high levels of stress. Cognitive Ability: Ability to demonstrate technique and perform student parts
- To follow directions and give direction to others.
- To complete assigned tasks without supervision.
