Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our team in Mobile, AL.
This role involves safely delivering goods to customers, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring efficient handling of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with warehouse tasks, and a commitment to safety and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to seamless delivery operations while maintaining high standards of manual handling and vehicle operation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and organize inventory using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling techniques.
- Execute timely deliveries to customers across designated routes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper documentation.
- Assist with warehouse operations including receiving shipments, stock organization, and inventory management.
- Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmations, and communication with dispatch teams.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks following safe lifting practices to prevent injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
- Support load & unload activities efficiently while adhering to weight handling regulations in the workplace.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally during deliveries.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize route driving efficiency and improve overall operational flow.
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and material movement.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver's license suitable for operating box trucks or personal vehicles for delivery purposes.
- Experience with commercial truck driving, including manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and material handling tools.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to navigate using mobile devices effectively for route planning and delivery updates.
- Prior experience with delivery driver responsibilities including load & unload procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management.
- Customer service orientation with professional communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
