Offering a fully remote work experience with up to 10% travel, the DRG Readmission Auditor will conduct comprehensive MS-DRG and APR-DRG readmission reviews, ensuring accuracy in DRG assignment and reimbursement while applying expert coding knowledge and industry-leading tools. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive MS-DRG and APR-DRG readmission reviews to ensure accuracy in DRG assignment and reimbursement Apply expert knowledge of coding guidelines to maximize overpayment identifications and craft clear audit findings Utilize advanced DRG encoder tools to drive efficiency and accuracy in audits while adhering to HIPAA and compliance regulations Required qualifications Minimum High School Diploma (Higher education preferred) CCS, RHIA, or RHIT credential (Multiple credentials preferred) 4+ years of MS-DRG/APR-DRG coding experience with a deep understanding of AHA Coding Guidelines Prior experience in DRG readmission retrospective overpayment identification auditing is highly desirable Strong proficiency with DRG encoder tools (3M, Webstrat)
