Drayage Operations Support ManagerThe Drayage Operations Support Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and supporting all of NFI Cal Cartage's Drayage systems and processes, both internal and external, while ensuring data integrity in all information systems. The focus of this position is to ensure NFI Cal Cartage meets all business requirements, while developing KPI reporting and providing "value-add" efficiencies to our operations.
The role is responsible for creating procedures/policies to support and govern Drayage related systems, functions, and processes, and implementing effective operational training and training methods throughout the organization. This position reports to the Director of Operations Support.Experience supporting global drayage and international supply chain operations is strongly preferred, including import/export processes, ocean freight, container movement, and coordination with domestic and international ports.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing Drayage processes that are utilized uniformly across the drayage divisionAccountability for the Drayage TMS. Responsible to monitor and ensure compliance related to data integrity, troubleshooting, systems maintenance, quality/usage audits, and perform ad-hoc reportingDeveloping training programs/practices/policies for NFI Cal Cartage's TMS and BI Tool, and various other systems and processesDelivering effective coaching and training for operators on systems tools and processesManaging and coordinating all project plans, training and systems activities related to new fleet start-up's and continuous improvement for existing fleetsResponsibility for creating and maintaining systems and process documentation / defining office and paperwork processesFuture opportunity to lead and develop operational support team membersQualificationsBachelor's Degree required-preferably in Supply Chain or LogisticsAt least 5 years' experience in transportation experience, preferably in a port or rail drayage environmentTransportation operational knowledge; CSA 2010, FMCSR, DOT & Hours-of-Service knowledge requiredMust be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office; TMS/Trinium experience is a plusRespectfully expresses opinions and supports difficult decisions.
