DRAM Firmware / Integration EngineerWe are seeking an experienced DRAM Firmware / Integration Engineer to join our client's SSD Firmware team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DRAM architecture, DDR4/DDR5 technologies, firmware development, validation, and hardware integration. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, validate, debug, and optimize DRAM functionality for SSD platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and integrate DRAM drivers for SSD firmware platforms.Understand DRAM controller IP and implement: Read TrainingWrite TrainingGate TrainingWrite LevelingConfigure and validate DRAM PHY IP.Develop expertise in DRAM ECC implementation and validation.Configure DDR4/DDR5 mode registers and validate register settings.Develop and validate DDR4/DDR5 initialization sequences.Implement and validate DRAM power states and refresh policies.Develop test procedures, automation, and debugging tools for DRAM validation.Troubleshoot and resolve DRAM-related hardware and firmware issues.Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams.Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.Document technical requirements, validation plans, and project schedules.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3+ years of experience in DRAM firmware, validation, or integration.Strong understanding of DRAM architecture, operation, and integration.Experience with DDR4 and/or DDR5 protocols.Experience configuring DRAM PHY and DRAM ECC.Knowledge of memory testing tools and validation methodologies.Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed signaling, and simulation techniques.Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as: OscilloscopesPower suppliesSoldering equipmentStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Excellent planning, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.Experience leading or managing firmware/hardware projects is a plus.Preferred SkillsSSD firmware development experience.DRAM validation and debugging expertise.Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.Excellent written and presentation skills.
