Job TitleThis position will be responsible for preparing drawings and manufacturing packets using CAD/CAM software.Essential/Primary DutiesAssists with the development of the product design and functionalityAnalyzes drawings and designs data to determine programming requirementsCreates fully dimensioned CAD drawings of countertops (Glasgow), Containment (Leesburg), and miscellaneous buy out items for purchasing and manufacturingUnderstands programming logic and troubleshoots problems with programmingCreates Nests, cut sheets, labels, and reports from CAD/CAM tool to drive manufacturingCreates SQL orders for custom containment (Leesburg), working NC programs for custom countertops (Glasgow), and miscellaneous parts from CAD/CAM toolAnalyze and plan custom product flow through manufacturing and designs layout of custom product product for maximum efficiencyConfer with planning and design staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methodsProvide support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the designConfer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processInterface with others in the organization to jointly determine customer needs and solutionsSupport corrective action and continuous improvement themes for programming to improve efficiencies within our facilityLead sustained engineering tasks for the Artizan (Glasgow) and Containment (Leesburg) product lineSecondary DutiesAssists with various departmental reports and process changesEducation and/or ExperienceAssociate's degree from two-year College or university; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Competency/Skill RequirementsProficient in the application of Midmark's primary CAD, CAM, and 3D Solid Modeling software.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
