Job Summary
Seeking a Drafter with experience in CAD drafting, preferably SolidWorks, to create and maintain engineering drawings while following drafting standards and file management procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Utilize SolidWorks (preferred) for drafting and design modifications.
- Apply drafting standards, drawing conventions, and file configuration best practices.
- Review drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with engineering teams to support product development and documentation.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree in Drafting or a related discipline OR
- 3+ years of drafting experience.
- Technical education in:
- Mechanical Drafting
- Mathematics
- Or equivalent work experience demonstrating drafting and mathematical skills.
Required Skills
- CAD drafting experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of drafting techniques.
- Experience with SolidWorks (preferred).
- Understanding of drafting standards.
- Knowledge of drawing file configurations.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical drafting background.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Target Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of drafting experience.
- Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and engineering documentation
- Available to work onsite in Skaneateles, NY
