If you enjoy technical work, problem-solving, and being part of a process that truly matters, we'd love to meet you.What You'll Do Under the guidance of a Team Leader and Manufacturing Management, the DSP Operator is responsible for executing day-to-day production activities in the Downstream Processing area.

This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and critical to maintaining product quality and process reliability.Key Responsibilities Include:Operate and monitor downstream processing equipment and utilitiesStart/stop pumps, open/close manual valves, collect samples, and respond to process alarmsMonitor process conditions and adjust parameters to maintain stabilityAccurately complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation in compliance with cGMP standardsReview production documentation for accuracy, completeness, and quality complianceAdd chemicals and process additives based on calculations and proceduresTroubleshoot process or equipment deviations and initiate corrective actionsCommunicate production metrics, issues, and shift handoffs clearlyMaintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas per GMP standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiencyTrain and support new or developing operatorsServe as a safety leader—stop production when a quality or safety concern is identifiedWhat We're Looking For Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracyMechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skillsComfortable working with automated systems and manual equipmentProficient with basic computer systems (Microsoft Suite)Preferred Qualifications:Associate degree in applied process technologies or related fieldPrior experience in biotech, chemical, or cGMP manufacturingWorking knowledge of GMP, safety protocols, and quality systemsWork Schedule:Full-time, 12-hour shiftsDays or nights, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as requiredPhysical & Work Environment Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and climb ladders/stairsWork in hot, cold, loud, and industrial manufacturing environmentsUse of PPE including hearing protection in designated areasExposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and airborne particlesWhy Danimer?Mission-driven work (bye, plastic pollution) Growth opportunity Great pay + benefits Team-first cultureEqual Opportunity Employer Danimer Scientific provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other status protected by law.
