Position Overview
The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced .NET Full-Stack Developer to develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain statewide web applications and backend processes supporting Arizona's K-12 education systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern full-stack development. Experience with .NET 6+, Blazor, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and unit test new application features and web applications.
* Review business requirements and technical design specifications.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects.
* Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies.
* Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, QA, Operations, and leadership.
* Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
* Participate in software design discussions and code reviews.
* Provide development estimates and support project planning.
* Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for environments and deployments.
* Support application builds, deployments, maintenance, and production releases.
* Apply software design patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices.
* Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills
* 5+ years of professional software application development experience.
* Strong C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+ experience.
* ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages.
* Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
* Advanced Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID design principles.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Application Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.
* Strong SQL Server development, stored procedures, functions, and relational database modeling.
* Power BI development including semantic models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, or other source control/work management tools.
* Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
