POSITION SUMMARY: The door person ensures the safety and security of all our guests and staff, and to make sure the customers' nights are fun and exciting. You will play a key role in the operation of our entire business as a visible and powerful force for order.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Greeting patrons and checking IDs
* Collecting cover charges
* Providing security and safety
* Maintaining bar supplies, when needed
* Protecting bar patrons and staff
* Monitoring bar or club perimeter for safety concerns
* Assessing customer aggression or intoxication
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
* Ability to work during peak business hours, including Fridays, Saturdays and special events
* Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
* Ability to assess threats and over-intoxication
* Comfortable talking to people
* Ability to manage multiple people and situations while maintaining composure
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* Must be at least 18 years of age
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
* Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 30 hours a week
* Ability to stand/walk for 2-6 hours per day
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
* Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry
* Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
* Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic
* Work environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
* 12 hour shift
* Holidays
* Monday to Friday
* Night shift
* Weekends as needed
