Document Specialist II – Right of WayAlabama Power is seeking a skilled Right of Way Document Specialist II to support Land Acquisition activities across the Alabama Power service territory.This role provides administrative, research, and documentation support for multiple acquisition projects. The ideal candidate has experience in land records, title research, document management systems, and is comfortable working with deeds, easements, and conveyance documentation.Land Acquisition SupportProvide administrative support for multiple acquisition projectsAssist team members with scheduling, invoice processing, and timekeeping administrationPrepare pre-survey lists in support of acquisition activitiesAssist with landowner mailouts and track certified mail receiptsDocument Management & ComplianceAssemble and maintain project files in accordance with land acquisition proceduresEnsure files are maintained per land procedures and properly prepared for closeoutInput and update supporting data accurately within the document management systemPerform quality control reviews and system updatesFile and retrieve documentation from Alabama Power's document vaultTitle Research & RecordationPerform online and courthouse title researchRead and interpret land descriptions, deeds, easements, and conveyance documentsConduct landowner verification through online title researchProcess online recordation of acquisition documents in appropriate countiesAssist with courthouse recordation when online options are unavailableDocumentation PreparationPrepare acquisition documentation for execution by Right of Way agentsReview executed documentation for accuracy and completenessConduct document research within document management systemsRequired Qualifications2–5 years of experience as a Document Specialist or in land rights-related fieldsTitle research experience or demonstrated ability to read and interpret land conveyance documentsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing prioritiesDemonstrated initiative and ability to work under time pressuresValid driver's license
