Position Overview
A major Nevada-based energy provider is seeking a Senior Document Control Specialist to standardize and maintain documentation across major construction and power-generation projects. This person will ensure records are complete, organized, and ready for audits, General Rate Cases, project closeout, and future reporting.
Responsibilities
- Create standardized folder structures, naming conventions, and document-control procedures.
- Organize project files from development through engineering, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Maintain drawings, RFIs, RFPs, permits, vendor records, inspection reports, commissioning reports, and other construction documents.
- Track document revisions, approvals, distribution, and retention.
- Partner with Project Directors to identify required or missing documentation.
- Prepare digital and physical binders for audits, regulatory proceedings, and General Rate Cases.
- Support structured project files for future AI-enabled document review and reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of document control experience supporting construction or major capital projects.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction documentation.
- Experience establishing standardized document-control processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in Las Vegas five days per week.
Preferred
- Utility or power-generation project experience.
