Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Apply basic knowledge of transportation and warehouse procedures to daily dock operations
- Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Accurately enter shipment details into company systems
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep operations running smoothly
- Track and record shipment data with a high level of accuracy
- Compare freight against manifests, invoices, and order forms to ensure accuracy
- Report any discrepancies or damages to leadership or accounting as needed
- Check and document trailer temperatures when required
- Record tractor, trailer, and seal numbers
- Coordinate and communicate dock and yard movements with drivers
- Inspect freight to ensure it meets company standards and specifications
- Place and remove jack stands at multiple dock doors to safely secure trailers and allow for trailer change-outs
- Keep work areas and records organized and up to date
- Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and drivers
