Job TitleThe purpose of this position is to ship and receive. Inspect shipments and trailers and weigh all incoming eggs. Supply processing department with eggs.
Receive and inspect other miscellaneous freight, packages and supplies.Key Responsibilities:Loading and unloading trucksWeighing incoming eggsDocumentation of quality and lot tracking issues related to incoming eggsMaintaining inventory and control shell egg rotationInspecting and signing for incoming product, packages and suppliesCoordinating and storing materials/supplies while maintaining segregation of clean and dirty materialsCompleting and maintaining compliance for all required paperworkCompleting corrective actions when necessaryTransporting eggs from cooler to staging area for processingAssisting as needed during breaks and cleanupCleaning cooler with floor scrubber and maintaining clean environment at all timesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentDaybreak Foods, Inc. will trainAbility to read, speak and write in English is requiredAbility and willingness to learn computer skillsPowered pallet jack and/or forklift experience requiredKnowledge in food safety and egg quality is desirableMonitor and comply with food safety and GMP policiesKnowledge of proper safety proceduresMust be able to read and follow written instruction, policies and proceduresPositive team oriented attitudeAble to train othersPhysical Demands:Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyMust be able to climb up to 150ft by ladderWork Environment:Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particlesEmployee may work in outside environment where temperatures vary seasonallyClothing must be worn based on seasonal weather conditionsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateCertain areas may be loud enough to require ear protectionAll personal protective equipment will be provided and required during certain working conditions and in certain areasThe employee is occasionally exposed to high places
