Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Pay: $117,605-$141,125 annuallyThe Division Sales Manager is responsible for managing, directing, and implementing the sales programs and systems to achieve or exceed individual and divisional sales and profit goals. This person will utilize the company’s FACE values, mission, and vision as guides in order to lead their employees and reach the team’s goals. This is accomplished through servant leadership and effective team management.As a manager, this position is expected to be involved in their community in some fashion, set time aside for self-improvement and always strive to be a better leader.This position directly reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works directly with other Division Sales Managers and major accounts. This position interacts regularly with the Five Oaks support team (Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team, Operations Managers, Human Resources, IT Department, and the Parr Leadership Team) as well as interacting regularly with vendor representatives and industry associates.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain professional relationships with sales team and their customersInitiate selection process of salespeopleIdentify personnel needs of yards regarding sales staffIdentify areas of improvement in sales plan and articulate changes to sales staffIdentify and implement skills development programs for sales staffMaintain a well-rounded sales staff through cross training, open communications, and continuing educationAssist in the creation and achievement of the company’s annual sales projectionsMaintain corporate guidelines and criteria for customer serviceContinually update product knowledge and selling techniques and assist Yard Management in training yard level employees where needed.Lead regular meetings with team membersAssist in minimizing inter-yard competitionTrack and report sales staff achievementMotivate and recognize performance amongst your teamManage sales team to work inside preferred vendor network and honor agreementsDevelop and execute “add-on sales promotional” programFocus on supporting sales growth within all lines of businessDevelop and maintain pricing & bidding strategiesDevelop and maintain “Inside/Outside Sales Team” concept and practicesDevelop and maintain program for customer satisfaction and gaining new customersPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentPrior experience as a building materials salespersonPrior supervisory/management experience preferredClass C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record requiredAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredMust be proficient with technology. Computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobProficiency with Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookKnowledge of lumber and plywood purchasing principles, practices, and protocolsKnowledge of home and commercial construction principles, practices, and protocolsKnowledge of and ability to use Excel with Parr POS systemKeyboarding at minimum of 35 wpm requiredLeadership experience, traits, and skills requiredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment.Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types. Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold.Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers.Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups. Communication can include, but is not limited to: in-person (verbal and non-verbal), written, e-mail, telephone and public speaking to medium size groupsStrong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to function independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.Ability to think and respond quickly, positively, and professionally to constantly changing circumstances.Ability to appropriately manage stress and interact with others.Working ConditionsThis position works on a computer in an office and on the road visiting different locations, customers, and vendors. The typical working days for this position are Monday-Friday with the working hours usually falling in a 7 am to 5 pm window with extra hours and weekend work as needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire dayMust be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboardMust be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feetMust be able to drive a vehicle when necessaryBoth local and overnight travel may be requiredDirect ReportsAll Contractor Sales People in designated territory and classification.
