Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables.

We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.Position Summary:Division Materials Manager will provide leadership of Materials Management activities for the division in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on people, organization, process and information technology.Responsibilities:This role is responsible for the materials management for the entire division, large site, or numerous value streams. Position will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. Will lead materials management team members. Work with suppliers, business units, procurement, planners, I/T and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment.

Matrix management responsibilities with business units and support groups for planning, logistics, shipping, receiving and inventory functions.Essential Functions:Promote and foster safe work environmentManages overall strategic planning practicesImplements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory controlCompletes demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum costEnsure PFEP & capacity planning activities to support division performanceAnalyzes inventories and develops and executes plans to balance Inventory % of Sales and optimize customer serviceCollaborates with business partners to optimize customer experience by utilizing buying and reselling strategies and warehouse managementEstablishes and implements standard re-order and delivery proceduresBalances supply with demand through Sales and Operations Planning implementation and execution with the minimum amount of Parker's capacityUtilizes forecasting tools to create effective demand management processesEmploys data analysis and information technology to improve division performanceResponsible for part data accuracy (item master)Create development plans for materials management team members and ensure talent pipeline is in place for key functionsQualifications:Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunitiesDemonstrated proficiency in MRP, Microsoft ProgramsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contactsUnderstanding of lean enterprise principles and practicesEducation & Experience:Education requirement: Must have Bachelor's Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Other.Advanced Degree such as MBA preferredMinimum of 6 – 8+ years applicable experience in materials management, supply chain or operationsProfessional Certification – APICS or ISM preferredSupply Chain Training Program – such as Parker Executive Development Program preferredDrug-Free Workplace In accordance with Parker's policies and applicable state laws, Parker provides for a drug-free workplace.
