Division Manager – Mechanical Plumbing Benefits and Compensation:
- $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary

Division Manager – Mechanical Plumbing Requirements & Qualifications
Must Haves
- 15+ years of experience in mechanical contracting, industrial piping, commercial plumbing, hydronics, or closely related construction
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience
- Experience leading multiple Project Managers, Estimators, department managers, and field operations personnel
- Direct responsibility for a profit center or business unit, including P&L performance
- Experience managing at least $10 million in annual revenue
- Strong understanding of financial statements, project financials, budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, backlog, cost control, and net profitability
- Demonstrated success developing employees into leadership positions
- Proven ability to recruit, retain, mentor, and manage high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems and commercial or industrial construction
- Experience overseeing estimating, project management, scheduling, procurement, labor planning, safety, quality, and change management
- Stable employment history with clear career progression
Key Leadership and Operational Responsibilities
- Own the division’s revenue, net profit, cash flow, budget, forecasting accuracy, and backlog quality
- Lead and develop Project Managers, Estimators, field leadership, and administrative personnel
- Establish clear expectations and create a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Implement leadership-development and succession-planning strategies throughout the division
- Provide executive oversight of project staffing, labor productivity, scheduling, procurement, quality, safety, and change-order management
- Monitor project and division-level performance and take proactive corrective action based on financial and operational data
- Maintain executive-level relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, developers, and industrial customers
- Generate repeat business by strengthening customer relationships and consistently delivering successful projects
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market share, enter new markets, improve operational efficiency, and increase profitability
- Improve forecasting accuracy, operational consistency, employee engagement, retention, and overall backlog quality
Division Manager – Mechanical Plumbing Preferred Background & Skills
- Full P&L ownership for a mechanical contracting or industrial piping division
- Experience leading a business unit substantially larger than $10 million in annual revenue
- Established relationships within the commercial or industrial construction market
- Experience growing revenue, market share, profitability, or operational capacity
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and change-order management
- Experience implementing Lean construction or continuous-improvement practices
- Experience with ERP and construction project-management software
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to clearly communicate financial results, operational challenges, and strategic priorities
