POSITION OVERVIEW

A New Horizon Academy District Manager has full operational responsibility for 10-14 schoolsin one of our company’s new or existing markets. The perfect candidate will have strong personal and leadership skills thatincludepositivity and an ability to connect with people with kindness, inspiration, and thoughtfulness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Travel to the schools in the district to regularly evaluate, monitor, manage, and supporteach school’s performance, including key measures such as curriculum implementation, parent satisfaction, employee satisfaction/retention, enrollment, financial management, and execution of NHA initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of purpose and consistent follow through.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the management of a childcareschoolincluding but not limited to: NAEYC accreditation,NECPA accreditation,state specific QRIS program, state licensing rules, marketing and enrollment growth/retention, staffing, employee relations, food and nutrition programs, financial operations, and childcare assistance programs.
  • Proven ability to select and develop strong talent at both the educator and leadership levels, unite and strengthen a team, reduce turnover, and manage the team to achieve successful results.
  • Demonstrate a high level of intercultural competency. Proven ability to work well with groups/individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Plan and lead district leadership meetings, district team building events, attendschoolstaff meetings as needed, and thoughtfullysharingfeedback and best practices.
  • Represent NHA during advocacy efforts and participate in community activities.
  • Strong evidence of leadership abilities, at theschool, district, and company level.
  • Field and resolve parent concern calls to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Driven and operates with passion and a sense of urgency to achieve favorable results.
  • Participate in strategic operations meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified as a director according to NAEYC guidelines and state licensing regulations
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a successful school director in ECE is required
  • 2-3 years of experience as a successful multi-unit leaderis preferred
  • High level of interculturalcompetency
  • Proven ability to work well with groups/individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • Proven ability to lead with integrity, accountability, confidence, and self-awareness while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and representing the company positively in all interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, empathy, kindness, setting clear expectations, and delivering direct, honest, and constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and empower others, make timely and effective decisions, lead through change with resilience, and cultivate a high-performing, engaged team through visionary leadership.
  • Additional years of experience as aschooldirector, preferably in an NAEYC accreditedprogram
