Job Description
As a District Manager at Public Storage, you will lead a portfolio of multi‑unit locations, ensuring operational excellence, a remarkable customer experience, and strong sales growth. You’ll develop and motivate a high‑performing team, guiding them to achieve company goals while upholding the brand’s standards.
Lead an Engaged Team
- Recruit, motivate, and retain a dedicated team of customer‑facing employees
- Drive the team with effective communication and coaching on customer service and sales strategies
Brand Ambassador & Operational Excellence
- Manage physical assets, maintenance systems, vendor relationships, and cleaning standards
- Oversee delinquent tenant processes, including auctions, to reduce delinquency rates and improve retention
- Conduct monthly property audits to ensure operational standards and safety compliance
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
- Create a welcoming, well‑maintained environment through team leadership, facility upkeep, and vendor management
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Grow and Maintain a Robust Business
- Use analytics to identify trends, develop strategies, and capitalize on opportunities in the district
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and team members

Qualifications
- Ability to relocate for lateral or promotional opportunities
- Demonstrated leadership in building, developing, and retaining high‑performing teams in retail, service, hospitality, or related industries
- Proven track record of top‑tier performance
- Experience managing operational audits and payroll budgets
- Exceptional communication and time‑management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Passion for sales and customer service excellence
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
- Weekend availability by telephone
- 5 Saturdays per year required during peak season
