Job Description

Role: Distribution Designer / Make-Ready Engineering

Job Description: The distribution designer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing aerial and underground power distribution systems from the substation level down to end-use customers. This role bridges utility engineering with practical, reliable energy delivery, ensuring that distribution infrastructure is safe, efficient, and compliant.

Primary Responsibilities:

 • Utility distribution design work.

 • Low-voltage electrical analysis and design.

 • Supporting power infrastructure upgrades.

 • Reviewing completed construction work and validating designs through "as-built" documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

 • Engineering degree preferred.

 • Experience with low-voltage design (LVD) is highly desirable.

 • Open to entry-level candidates if they have an engineering background and are eager to learn.

 • Candidates local to Martinsburg or within a reasonable commuting distance are strongly preferred.

Engineering degree or industry experience (Low voltage design and analysis)

Commutable distance to Martinsburg, WV Preferred low voltage design experience but not required.

Engineering degree preferred but not required.
