Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Dispute Resolution Associate to join its San Francisco office. The successful candidate will engage in all phases of litigation and arbitration, focusing on complex commercial disputes and white collar criminal defense.
Duties
- Handle all phases of general civil litigation, complex commercial litigation, mediation, and arbitration.
- Represent clients in white collar criminal defense cases, including federal investigations and regulatory actions.
- Provide strategic legal advice in reputation management and crisis response.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda of law; conduct legal research.
- Manage discovery processes, including drafting requests and negotiating with opposing counsel.
- Take and defend depositions, handle court appearances, and develop case strategies.
- Conduct internal investigations involving whistleblower claims and cybersecurity breaches.
- Contribute to business development activities, including writing articles and attending events.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in litigation and/or white collar groups at a law firm.
- California Bar membership in good standing.
- Proven experience with depositions, court proceedings, and sophisticated disputes.
- Exposure to federal and state-level white collar investigations.
- Experience in the tech sector and white collar defense (preferred).
- Strong project management skills and ability to balance priorities.
- Former law clerk experience (preferred).
Education
- J.D. required.
