Display Electrical EngineerThe Display Hardware team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join the development of next generation displays for Mac products.ResponsibilitiesDesign circuit boards and conduct electrical characterization and validation for technology development and product prototypesAnalyze and evaluate design feasibility to meet various requirements, including optics, signal integrity/power integrity, mechanical/thermal constraints and system coexistenceParticipate in cross-functional design reviews and contribute to the overall system designCommunicate and present technology updates and project status to cross-functional teamsPerform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and optical issuesSupport prototype builds and conduct debugging and failure analysis for issues in manufactureMinimum QualificationsBS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experienceExperience in mixed-signal EE design at either IC or PCB levelExperience in circuit/math analysis and modeling, with proficiency in simulation tools like SPICE or MATLAB.Experience with design and analysis in one of these areas: power electronics, analog/digital circuits, or high-speed signal integrityHands-on experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debugging, validation and failure analysisExperience with full ECAD workflow for schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM generationSkills in scripting, factory data processing, or test automation, and programming experience in Python, Shell script, MATLAB or similarPreferred QualificationsSelf driven and highly motivated with passion for crafting and innovating, attention to details, strong problem-solving skillsHands-on maker demonstrated through hardware projects, passion for bringing ideas to lifeNeed to be comfortable working in fast paced and highly collaborative work environmentProficiency in EE validation/characterization tasks, and familiar with lab equipment and test automationDevelop factory test plan and manage manufacturer partner to conduct data collection, and analyze large-scale dataAbility to communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teamsConsumer electronics and high-volume production experienceModern display technologies, such as LCD, TFT, OLED, LED etc.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
