Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented dishwasher to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and DOH-compliant kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, flexible, and able to assist with a variety of tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Support porter staff in cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area, kitchen, and lower-level recycling room. - Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) standards in all assigned areas. - Remove trash from kitchen and place in designated containers; replace full trash bags. - Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing dry-storage and walk-in items. - Perform deep-cleaning tasks during slow periods, including scrubbing floors, cleaning grease traps, wiping walls, and detailing equipment. - Potentially cover overnight shifts based on availability. - Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
Qualifications: - Prior experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or cleaning role preferred but not required. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. - Ability to lift, carry, and move items as needed. - Flexible schedule and willingness to work varying shifts.
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and perform manual cleaning tasks. - Ability to work in a hot, humid kitchen environment.
