Astor Club Chicago, a private members-only club in the Gold Coast, is seeking a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that all service ware, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and organized efficiently in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment.
ResponsibilitiesWash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both commercial dish machines and manual methods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
Handle equipment carefully and follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Support chefs and cooks by ensuring they have clean tools and service ware ready when needed
Prior dishwasher or kitchen porter experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
Reliable, punctual, and able to work nights and weekends as needed
Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed in the kitchen
$22/hour
