Location: Soccer House – Chicago, IL (501 N Ogden Ave, West Town)

Compensation: $17.05 hour + Pooled Tips
Schedule: Typically Wednesday – Sunday (Closed Monday & Tuesday), with some variations based on the international soccer schedule.
Hours: Shifts vary with match and event demand, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
Job Summary
Soccer House is looking for a dependable, hard-working Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. We're a soccer bar, restaurant, and café that runs all day, from early-morning match screenings to late-night kickoffs. The Dishwasher keeps the kitchen running by making sure clean dishes, glassware, and equipment are always ready, especially on busy matchdays.
This role reports to the Kitchen Manager. It's a good fit for someone who takes pride in a clean kitchen, can keep up during a rush, and wants to be part of a team built around soccer and community.
Key Responsibilities
Dish & Equipment
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Run and maintain the dish machine, and follow proper chemical and sanitation procedures
- Put away clean items in their proper places so the kitchen and bar stay stocked during service
Cleanliness & Safety
- Keep the dish area, kitchen floors, back-of-house, and front-of-house spaces clean and organized
- Take out trash, recycling, and compost, and keep disposal areas clean
- Follow all health code, food safety, and workplace safety standards
- Help with opening and closing cleaning duties and cleaning tasks as assigned
Team Support
- Support cooks with basic prep work and receiving deliveries when needed
- Help the bar and front-of-house team with glassware and bussing on high-volume matchdays
- Communicate with the Kitchen Manager about low supplies or equipment problems
Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required; we will train
- Able to stand for long periods, work in a hot and fast-paced environment, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable and on time, with a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
- Available to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and big matchdays
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
