Job TitlePay Rate: $50 per hourWork Mode: 100% Fully RemoteSummary:20 hours per week - availability needed during core workdays and hours; Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 5:00PM local timeThis position is not for evening or weekend shiftsResponsibilities:Manage an assigned caseload of moderately complex claims with some level of oversightProvide timely, balanced, and accurate claims reviews and recommended decisionsCommunicate proactively with claimants and representatives, demonstrating empathy and active listeningDocument conversations and claim evaluations in a timely and professional mannerInteract and communicate effectively with claimants, customers, attorneys, brokers, and family membersCompile file documentation and analyze information to determine if additional information is neededCollaborate with external and internal resources to gather necessary dataClarify and reconcile inconsistencies during claim evaluationsCalculate monthly benefits due after the elimination periodProvide detailed written communication during the claim evaluation processAddress and resolve escalated customer complaints in a timely mannerRequirements:3+ years of LTD/IDI Insurance Claims experienceExperience with independent judgment and decision makingDemonstrated use of critical thinking and analysisCreative problem-solving abilities and ability to think outside the boxExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written formExcellent customer service skillsDemonstrated conceptual thinking and risk management abilitiesOrganizational and time management skillsBachelor's degreePreferred Skills:Experience with handling complex situations effectively
