Job Description : TD Securities' Global Strategy team is seeking a Director, US Rates Strategist who will be responsible for generating actionable trade ideas, producing high‑quality macro/thematic research, and engaging directly with institutional clients across US rates markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify trade ideas, market dislocations, relative value, and hedging opportunities across multiple horizons and rates products
  • Conduct macro thematic research across US rates markets (e.g., US Treasuries, swaps and related rates instruments)
  • Partner with sales and trading to produce timely market intelligence and insights
  • Engage directly with institutional clients and contribute to select media interactions

Depth & Scope

  • Provides expertise and support the planning and the decision support process for a broad and diverse portfolio of activities, coordinating with a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Identifies issues requiring research or analysis, determines solutions directly or in consultation with relevant functional / business leaders, other internal and external groups as necessary, and provides meaningful information in response to issues / questions raised
  • Provides key management information, discussions and / or business issues in advance of business meetings and events as well as coordinates follow‑up on outstanding issues as required
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Business leaders, business heads and partners across the organization
  • Organizes and participates in leadership team meetings, planning initiatives, and broader sessions as well provides support to any working groups tasked with deliverables from these activities
  • Supports development and tracking of milestones and other performance management tools and processes - provides summary reports on progress for executive review and consideration
  • Undertakes and completes a variety of projects and initiatives - often of a highly sensitive nature, and usually with minimal guidance or direction, ensuring discretion and ability to see items through to resolution/completion

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics
  • Series 7 and 63
  • 7–10 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in finance or economics preferred
  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role and strong understanding of the US Rates market
  • Product expertise with Treasuries, STIR, TIPS, and Swaps preferred
  • Experience in Vol or Cross Currency Swaps is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate investment ideas clearly and efficiently across a broad institutional client base
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic, professional disposition, and desire to be part of a highly collaborative global team
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
