HarbourVest seeks a Director of Treasury to help scale our global treasury capabilities. The role combines leadership, operational execution, and strategic transformation across banking infrastructure, treasury systems, and fund‑level cash management.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve treasury systems, including FIS Integrity, eBAM, Kyriba, and SWIFT integration, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and scalability.
- Lead the team responsible for administration of banking connectivity (SWIFT, SFTP, APIs, and portals) to support global payments, reporting, and reconciliation processes and periodic access reviews and control processes.
- Innovate with new technology and software including Power Automate, Alteryx, and AI‑enabled solutions to eliminate manual processes and improve control environments.
- Lead resolution of issues across Treasury systems and banking platforms, partnering with IT and external vendors to ensure continuity of operations.
- Lead Infrastructure staff in testing, validation, and rollout of system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality across Treasury platforms.
- Assist with handling fund‑level cash activity including capital calls, distributions, FX and debt transactions, and liquidity‑sensitive fund management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for designated funds.
- Manage the Treasury Infrastructure team facilitating bank account requests and workflows (e.g., new accounts, fraud mitigation technology, connectivity requests), ensuring clear ownership and timely issue resolution and successful account onboarding.
- Oversee scalable onboarding models to support new legal entities, funds, and global expansion initiatives.
- Maintain high engagement and develop team skills, including goal setting, performance reviews, and periodic meetings with team members and peers.
- Develop and implement operational improvements, benchmarks, and reporting frameworks to improve operational efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Treasury, cash management systems, and global banking connectivity within an investment management or complex financial services environment.
- Experience with Treasury Workstations (FIS Integrity, Kyriba strongly preferred) and SWIFT connectivity models.
- Strong understanding of global banking structures, account management, and connectivity frameworks.
- Ability to operate optimally on a distributed team, influencing collaborators across multiple functions and geographies.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical capabilities, with a focus on building scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience automating processes using tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx, and/or AI‑enabled solutions.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or similar certification preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive work in Treasury, Finance, or related fields.
- Significant experience in Treasury systems, infrastructure, or transformation roles.
- Experience operating in a global, multi‑entity organization or private markets firm required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $170,000.00 – $180,000.00 (USD). This role is eligible for discretionary annual bonus, long‑term reward programs, and a comprehensive total rewards package including retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
Hybrid work arrangement: 18 remote workdays per quarter, subject to manager approval. You may work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly, leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
