Valley Medical Group and The Valley Hospital are seeking a visionary Thoracic Surgeon to lead as Director of Thoracic Surgery at Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care. - Valley holds longstanding accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
- The Director will collaborate with a team of pulmonologists, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and critical care specialists.
- The practice offers a broad case mix including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal disease, and foregut disorders.
- Valley has a robust clinical trials infrastructure, with ongoing clinical trials for patients with thoracic diseases.
- The cancer center is in the Luckow Pavilion, directly across from the new, state-of-the-art hospital.
- The Luckow Pavilion features ambulatory operating rooms, a modern infusion center, and a state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Director, Thoracic Surgery, at Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care.
- Combine technical excellence, including minimally invasive and robotic surgical skills, with compassion and professionalism.
- Advance the field through leadership, education, and clinical innovation.
- Collaborate with an outstanding team of pulmonologists, medical and radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and critical care specialists.
- Serve as a faculty member in Valley's General Surgery Residency Program.
- Serve as a faculty member in Valley's Advanced GI Fellowship Program.
Compensation
- Compensation range from $550,000 to $600,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

- MD or DO
- BE or BC in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery
- Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License
- DEA required
- CDS required
