Director, Solutions Architecture
Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
We are searching for a Director of Solutions Architecture to lead the technical vision and architecture strategy for enterprise applications, cloud modernization, and digital transformation initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions while partnering with executive leadership, Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
The Role
- Lead the architecture and technical strategy for enterprise applications, cloud platforms, APIs, data services, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Drive application modernization initiatives, transforming legacy platforms into scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- Lead the migration of enterprise applications, user interfaces (UI), APIs, and SaaS platforms into AWS cloud environments, ensuring security, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Design enterprise solutions that leverage cloud-native services, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and executive leadership to translate business objectives into enterprise technology solutions.
- Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership on modernization, security, resiliency, disaster recovery, and enterprise integration initiatives.
- Review architecture designs, technical specifications, and implementation plans while guiding engineering teams through delivery.
- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud engineering best practices across the organization.
Experience
- 12+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise software solutions.
- Must have experience in the Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Management or related environments.
- Experience leading Solution Architecture teams or serving as a senior enterprise architect within complex organizations.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications and migrating them to modern cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience migrating enterprise UIs, REST APIs, middleware, and SaaS applications into AWS cloud environments is required.
- Deep expertise designing cloud-native applications using AWS (Azure experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration, API architecture, distributed systems, security, scalability, and resiliency.
- Experience developing architecture roadmaps and governing enterprise technology standards.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, databases, and cloud-based application architectures.
