Under the direction of the Senior Director of Youth Development, the Base Director is responsible for planning and assisting with the daily program as it relates to children and their daily activities. The role places major emphasis on program excellence and the development of quality care of the highest standard. The Base Director will support ongoing program continuity by ensuring scheduled program and facility use plans are followed and that MSDE regulations and standards are met.
Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- 90 hours of School Age Credit Classes
- 12 hours of continued training every year
- Compliance with all MSDE regulations and standards
- 800 hours of experience leading groups of children
- 90 hours in Childcare Development and School Age Curriculum or a related field with a plan of study leading to a credential
- Two years’ experience related to caring for children, with at least one year working with school‑age children
