Sr. Manager‑Director of Revenue Accounting
Location: Fully Remote (East Coast preferred). The role leads the global revenue accounting function within a dynamic high‑growth organization.
Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 per year. Annual bonus: 15%.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee global revenue accounting operations, ensuring full compliance with ASC 606 and applicable standards.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert on revenue recognition, reviewing and approving complex customer contracts and non‑standard deal structures.
- Own and continuously improve the Quote‑to‑Cash (QTC) process in partnership with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, and IT.
- Partner closely with Finance and FP&A to improve performance in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), revenue forecasting accuracy, and accounts receivable aging.
- Oversee revenue forecasting processes and provide actionable insights to executive leadership on revenue trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage global accounts receivable operations, including billing accuracy, collections strategy, credit risk, and aging analysis.
- Lead and support systems implementations, integrations, and process automation related to revenue, billing, and ERP platforms.
- Develop, document, and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and internal audit teams on revenue‑related matters.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing revenue accounting team across multiple regions.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment between operational metrics and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of accounting leadership experience with demonstrated people‑management responsibility.
- Prior public‑accounting experience preferred.
- Active CPA required.
- Extensive experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, preferably within a SaaS or software‑development environment.
- Strong background in Quote‑to‑Cash, revenue forecasting, and receivables management.
- Proven experience leading or supporting financial systems implementations (ERP, billing, or revenue automation tools).
- Experience operating in a global, high‑growth, or public‑company environment is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, business judgment, and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
