Director Project Management

Reports to: VP of Engineering and Project Management

Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 + annual bonus

Our client is a growing industrial manufacturer that designs, engineers, and fabricates custom process equipment and structural systems for energy, water, and infrastructure clients. They're hiring a Director of Project Management to bring structure, accountability, and strong leadership to how projects are planned, tracked, and delivered.

Your Role:

You’ll own project execution across the portfolio, lead and develop a team of Project Managers, and serve as the escalation point across engineering, fabrication, finance, and customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable
• Personally manage a few strategic accounts and serve as the primary escalation point when issues arise
• Drive regular portfolio reviews covering safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance, including forecasts, cost-to-complete, margins, and change orders
• Partner with engineering, fabrication, and finance leaders to keep projects on track
• Help implement and refine project management systems and processes as the organization scales

What You’ll Bring:

• 10-15+ years leading a project management function in the steel, pipe, or fabrication industry
• A track record of building and developing a team of Project Managers, not just carrying the work yourself
• Strong project financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, margin risk, and change orders
• A technical background, through education or experience, and comfort in a fast-moving, still-maturing environment
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person and be able to work without visa sponsorship
