Strategic Program ManagerResponsible for strategic leadership of several highly complex or enterprise-wide program(s) with overall responsibility for one or more functional areas focusing on areas within Location Lifecycle Management. Directs a team to ensure successful integration of several projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.Major Duties And ResponsibilitiesActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Directs a team responsible for delivery of programs and projects covering one or more specific functional areas within Location Lifecycle Mgmt.Directs a program direction, supporting business case and various enterprise-wide high-level project and program plans.Ensures each project is assigned proper prioritization.Manages team to ensure integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business.Provides oversight and leadership to other Program and Project Managers in project and resource planning, assigning projects, and providing support to direct report project managers.Responsible for performance review and monitoring continuous improvement plans.Serves as a mentor to program and project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes.Manages project staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; plans, monitors, and appraises job results.Accountable for the execution of established project management processes and methodologies to ensure delivery of project scope on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards and customer expectations.Accountable for plans and teamwork assignments, directing work efforts, reviewing integrated project plans, escalating & communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate.This includes creating an intake process for each project within Location Lifecycle Management.Works with senior leadership and Business Consultants to develop program direction and changes.Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements.Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve the goals of the enterprise.Partners with senior level management with minimal direction.Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program.Directs and mentors a team of project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff.Required Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishDemonstrated management skills leading teams of individual program and project managersAbility to build high performance teamsAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to define key performance indicators/metricsAbility to effectively analyze and interpret dataAbility to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job dutiesAbility to document, prepare, and deliver data-driven presentationsAbility to communicate with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to influence internal and external key stakeholders and build consensusAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and virtual teams with a mixture of direct and dotted-line reportingAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to develop strong working relationships with peers and project membersAbility to oversee and manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects that impact the organization as a whole Ability in implementing program and project plans and monitor progress, resource usage and qualityDemonstrated understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgetsDemonstrated knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating the risks identifiedRequired EducationBachelor's degree business administration, or related field, or equivalent experienceRequired Related Work Experience and Number of YearsManagement experience - 5+Managing complex programs or projects - 8+Preferred EducationAdvanced management or technical degree Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculumPreferred Related Work Experience and Number of YearsTelecommunications Industry experience preferred - 5+Working ConditionsOffice environmentExposure to moderate noise levelsTravel required
