Director | Product | Fund Tax

TDA is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to appoint a Director of Product Management within its Global Fund Administration business.

This is a senior, highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Fund Tax, Product, Technology and Client Solutions. The successful candidate will help shape how fund tax services are delivered to institutional clients, acting as both a product leader and a market-facing subject matter expert.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep US Fund Tax expertise who wants to have a broader impact on product strategy, technology and the future development of a global fund administration platform.

The role

You will:

• Own and help evolve the organisation's Fund Tax product and service offering
• Act as a senior voice of the client, understanding market requirements and translating them into scalable product capabilities
• Work across areas including RIC Tax, excise tax, tax provisions, 1099 reporting, tax returns and shareholder tax reporting
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and specialist Tax teams
• Translate complex Fund Tax requirements into technology and product solutions
• Support client meetings, RFPs and new business opportunities as a senior subject matter expert
• Work with external tax and advisory partners where appropriate
• Help define the product roadmap and prioritise new capabilities
• Evaluate market trends, client requirements and opportunities to improve automation and tax efficiency
• Provide credibility and expertise in front of sophisticated asset management and investment-management clients

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in people who combine deep Fund Tax knowledge with strong commercial, product and stakeholder skills.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

• Senior Fund Tax professionals within an asset manager, investment adviser or fund administrator
• Fund Tax leaders from a Big Four or specialist tax advisory firm
• Fund Tax SMEs who have moved into Product, Technology or Transformation
• Product leaders with significant hands-on experience delivering US Fund Tax solutions

You should have strong knowledge of US investment fund taxation, ideally including areas such as:

• RIC Tax
• Tax provisions
• 1120-RIC tax returns
• Shareholder tax reporting
• Fund tax compliance and reporting

Comp: c.$230K-$275K base - c.$320K-$400K

You’ll also need to be comfortable operating with senior clients and stakeholders and able to translate specialist tax requirements into practical product and technology solutions.

Previous Product Management experience is valuable, but we are equally interested in senior Tax professionals who have the commercial, technology and transformation experience to move into a broader Product leadership role.
