Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director Patient Financial Services is a full-time, on-site role based in Lander, WY, responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient financial operations for the facility. This role leads teams managing patient access, billing, collections, and follow-up to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of accounts. The director monitors key performance indicators, analyzes trends, and implements process improvements to strengthen cash flow, reduce denials, and support a positive patient financial experience. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with clinical, finance, and revenue cycle leaders, resolving complex account issues, supporting regulatory and audit readiness, and aligning operations with Parallon and HCA Healthcare standards. The role also includes staff coaching and development, budget management, and active participation in strategic planning for the hospital’s revenue cycle.

As the Patient Financial Services Director (External Client), you are responsible for the daily operations of all Parallon managed facility-based revenue cycle functions and will serve as the on-site liaison between the facility and Parallon Client Relations or the SSC. You will integrate the departments’ services with the hospital’s clinical and ancillary teams, implement policies and procedures that guide or support service levels, assess and improve department performance, and ensure orientation and continuing education of departmental staff.

What you will do in this role

  • Maintain and promote good customer relations with facility management, physicians and physician office staff
  • Coordinate with facility departments/administration teams to manage key revenue cycle performance expectations and challenges including upfront collections protocols, capturing accurate information, timely registration and patient satisfaction, denial prevention, patient flow, unbilled, patient concerns, and more
  • Review Patient Access performance to ensure timeliness, accuracy, compliance and standards fulfillment as defined in Service Level Agreements
  • Inform designated CRM AVP of any significant issues in the Patient Access areas (e.g. Pre- registration delays, unbilled challenges, pre-authorization backlogs, etc.)
  • Inform staff of relevant changes and developments in payer requirements
  • Oversee management of Patient Access personnel, providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and personnel action where appropriate to Facility leadership
  • Identify and implement process improvements to lower costs and improve services to facility customers

What qualifications you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.Degree requirement may be substituted by current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or equivalent work experience with CEO approval
  • Minimum 5 years’ healthcare management experience with three of these years in the related area for the position. Relevant education may substitute experience requirement with SSC Executive approval.
