Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Director Patient Care Services to lead clinical operations in our flagship tertiary care and teaching hospital. This role oversees nursing and patient care services, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned units. The director will manage staffing, budgets, and performance metrics; drive quality, safety, and regulatory initiatives; collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; and foster a culture of compassion, excellence, diversity, and continuous learning while supporting staff development and professional growth.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for patient care services across assigned units.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with hospital standards and best practices.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and development of nursing and clinical teams.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
- Drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives, including accreditation readiness.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care.
- Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and clinical practice standards.
- Mentor and coach leaders and staff, supporting professional growth and shared governance.
- Use data and analytics to identify performance gaps and lead improvement projects.
