Director/Partner, Client Accounting Services Nextera Search

A Professional Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their Client Accounting Services team as either a Director or Partner.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new client relationships through referrals, networking, and targeted outreach.
• Create proposals, pricing, and engagement scopes tailored to prospective clients' needs.
• Manage key client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services.
• Advise clients on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, performance metrics, and financial decisions.
• Oversee monthly close, financial reporting, and other accounting deliverables for a portfolio of clients.
• Lead and mentor accounting professionals while maintaining the quality and timeliness of client work.
• Improve workflows, technology use, and internal processes as the practice grows.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on business development, training, and practice strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in public accounting or outsourced accounting services.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success winning new business, expanding client relationships, and advising small to midsize companies.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting and financial management platforms.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
