About the Role
We're looking for a determined, enthusiastic Education professional to step into the Academy Director role. You'll build relationships with families, lead a team of education professionals, and help staff grow and succeed in their roles.
What You'll Do
- Drive Academy Performance — Guide goal-setting by integrating current education and special education best practices
- Ensure Compliance — Keep services aligned with professional standards and state/federal regulatory requirements
- Lead Your Team — Supervise, manage, and evaluate education staff across Hope Academy locations, including monthly check-in visits to monitor student progress and compliance
- Communicate & Connect — Maintain regular, effective communication with faculty, staff, parents, and students, documenting in line with Hope's policies and procedures
- Other responsibilities as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (required)
- Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (preferred)
- Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification
- Supervisory experience in a school setting
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
Clearances & Training Required
- Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance (issued by the Dept of Education)
- Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Act 168 (from previous employers where you had contact with children)
- State License of Practice and/or Certification
- CPR/First Aid
- TB Test/Physical
