Director - Operations Portfolio Management

We are seeking an experienced utility operations leader to build and lead a newly established Operations Portfolio Management organization. This is a high-visibility leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and offers the opportunity to shape project and program execution across a major utility operation.

This role is ideal for a leader with deep experience in utility operations, portfolio management, operational excellence, and large-scale program delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead a newly formed Operations Portfolio Management organization
• Manage, develop, and mentor 6 Managers and their respective teams
• Drive project and program management best practices across utility operations
• Oversee portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and project execution
• Partner with leaders across Generation, Transmission, Energy Delivery, and Energy Resources
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Establish performance metrics and reporting that improve organizational effectiveness
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and execution

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing leaders and multi-functional teams
• Proven success leading large-scale programs, portfolios, or operations
• Strong project and program management background
• PMP certification required
• Lean and Six Sigma experience required
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 + 20% annual bonus
