Position Overview
Director, Operations – Full‑Time, Exempt. Location: Crisis - Mecklenburg Recovery Response Center, Charlotte, NC. Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On‑call as needed).
Salary: $95,000.00–$110,000.00 annually.
Job Summary
The Director, Operations is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, and maintaining program activities. The role also involves cultivating relationships with funders and potential partners to sustain existing programs and create new collaborations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership – monitors and oversees program participation, ensures participant flow, signs off on clinical documentation when required.
- Guest Care & Advocacy – assists individuals and families in developing natural supports, fosters success in the community.
- Clinical Lead for Campus Connection – ensures seamless coordination between the organization and key special initiatives.
- Compliance & Risk Management – upholds policies and procedures, completes clinical documentation as required, ensures adherence to contractual, accreditation, and funding requirements, stays abreast of federal and state regulations.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – develops strategies to engage community members, maintains strong relationships with funders and stakeholders, administers the business plan, monitors budgetary activities, manages referral sources and external vendors, works collaboratively with external entities such as hospital staff, probation, police departments, and clinical teams.
- Operational Metrics – jointly accountable with the Medical Director for KPIs and operational efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Education – Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. (Alternatively, BSN Nursing with active RN licensure.)
- Licensure – licensure required in accordance with state regulations; independent licensure preferred. (Licensure examples include LPC, LMSW, LCSW, RN, and others as listed in the state addendum.)
- Experience – minimum five (5) years of full‑time behavioral health experience; minimum three (3) years of supervisory/management experience.
- Skills – ability to develop collaborative relationships with community partners; basic computer skills; attention to detail; problem solving; verbal and written communication; effective listening; excellent documentation; judgment and discretion; completion of de‑escalation training.
- Driving Requirements – if driving is required, meet Recovery Innovations’ driving policy and maintain a valid driver's record.
- Additional Requirements – age 18 or older (or the minimum required by state law), travel as needed, completion of comprehensive credentialing, confidentiality under HIPAA, and ability to pass required background and substance use testing.

Physical Demands
Work may involve close visual focus, wrist and hand movements, finger dexterity, ear‑hand coordination, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work Environment
May work in an office setting or behavioral health facility. Contact with agitated or confused individuals may occur. Travel across the region may be required.
