Director of Venue Operations

Our client is seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to serve as Director of Venue Operations. This position is responsible for transforming the campus into a high-performing, revenue-generating, and experience-driven destination. Sitting at the intersection of sales, service, and operations, this role will lead efforts to maximize campus utilization, grow earned revenue, and deliver exceptional experiences for both internal and external stakeholders.

This individual will report to the President & CEO and will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy across rentals, events, and facilities. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of strategic leadership, operational discipline, and a hands‑on approach to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead rental and event-related revenue generation across the campus
• Develop and execute outbound and inbound sales strategies to increase campus utilization
• Build, manage, and report on a strong sales pipeline with clear goals and conversion metrics
• Create pricing models, packaging, and yield strategies for campus spaces
• Develop and lead a year-round campus activation plan that supports revenue, awareness, and audience growth
• Identify opportunities to activate underutilized spaces and establish new partnerships
• Oversee operational logistics for rentals and events to ensure consistent, high-level execution
• Manage facilities coordination, maintenance readiness, inventory, scheduling, and resource allocation systems
• Own the full client lifecycle from inquiry through execution and follow‑up
• Establish and maintain high service standards for both internal and external clients
• Build and lead a high-performing team across rentals, events, and facilities
• Develop departmental plans, budgets, KPIs, and reporting to support accountability and growth

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in venue, campus, hospitality, or multi-use facility management
• Proven success driving revenue growth through space utilization
• Strong background in sales, event strategy, and operations
• Experience with inventory and asset management platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple business functions simultaneously
• Strong financial, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
• Commitment to customer service and operational excellence
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution
