- State-of-the-art facilities house advanced diagnostic capabilities, including advanced echocardiography, CT, and MRI.
- Performs complex coronary interventions and advanced structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, and an evolving tricuspid program.
- Electrophysiology team manages complex arrhythmias, including ablation therapies, device implantations, and left atrial appendage occlusion.
- Cardiothoracic surgery program provides the full spectrum of care, including complex mitral valve and aortic surgery.
- Care is delivered by highly skilled, multidisciplinary teams committed to superior clinical outcomes and personalized treatment plans for each patient across Western Connecticut, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Establish clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for structural heart interventions.
- Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies and procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case selection conferences.
- Monitor quality metrics and clinical outcomes, including oversight of data collection and submission to national registries.
- Recruit and retain specialized structural heart team members.
- Provide leadership and training opportunities for support staff.
- Develop strategic plans for program growth, expand referral networks, and collaborate with marketing on promotion and outreach.
- Promote and enhance all aspects of the academic mission, including training and education as well as innovation and research.
Compensation
- Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
- An academic appointment with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience.

Requirements
- Board-certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
- Specialized training in structural heart.
