CDL Nuclear Technologies is seeking a highly strategic, analytically driven, and commercially minded Director of Strategic Initiatives to help shape and execute some of the most important growth opportunities across our organization.
This is not a traditional operations leadership role.
We are looking for an individual who thrives at the intersection of business development, finance, strategy, compliance, and healthcare innovation . You will serve as a direct extension of executive leadership, partnering closely with our Chief Business Development Officer to evaluate, launch, and scale new ventures that drive CDL's future growth.
From theranostics and specialty PET imaging to AI-enabled cardiac imaging and emerging healthcare partnerships, this role offers an opportunity to influence critical strategic decisions while helping bring new services and technologies to market.

What You'll Do
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Evaluate and develop business cases for new growth initiatives, partnerships, and service lines
- Conduct market assessments, financial modeling, competitive analysis, and opportunity sizing
- Support acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and expansion opportunities
- Prepare executive recommendations and presentations for senior leadership and Board-level review
- Help move new initiatives from concept through implementation
- Build and maintain financial models supporting new business opportunities
- Analyze ROI, revenue projections, capital investments, and operating economics
- Evaluate vendor proposals, equipment purchases, and partnership structures
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts for strategic initiatives
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to evaluate new business models and market opportunities
- Assist with regulatory diligence involving Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, licensing, and healthcare partnership structures
- Help ensure new ventures are designed and implemented within appropriate compliance frameworks
- Navigate evolving reimbursement, billing, coding, and healthcare regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, revenue cycle, compliance, operations, legal, and business development teams
- Coordinate execution across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Translate executive strategy into actionable implementation plans
- Ensure alignment between commercial objectives, financial expectations, and operational capabilities
Current strategic initiatives may include:
- Neurology PET/CT programs
- Theranostics expansion
- CCTA + AI initiatives
- Emerging healthcare technologies and service offerings
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience in:
- Consulting
- Healthcare operations leadership
- Program implementation
- Strategic project management
Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups
Strong financial, analytical, and business case development experience
Experience evaluating opportunities from concept through implementation and delivery
Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory considerations, including:
- Stark Law
- Healthcare compliance frameworks
Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills
Comfortable operating in an environment with ambiguity, rapid change, and competing priorities
- Diagnostic imaging experience
- Radiopharmaceutical experience
- Healthcare consulting background (Accenture, Deloitte, Huron, Guidehouse, etc.)
- Revenue cycle, billing, or coding experience
- Experience launching a new healthcare service line or business unit
- Vendor management and contract negotiation experience
- Health system, ambulatory care, or physician practice experience
- MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar advanced degree
