We're looking for an experienced Director of Safety to lead our safety programs, strengthen regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) programs.
  • Advise executive leadership on HSEQ initiatives, compliance, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EPA, OSHA, CERCLA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee company-wide HSEQ policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Monitor safety initiatives, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Track, analyze, and report HSEQ performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Present safety updates and support departments in improving operational safety.
  • Lead weekly safety and leadership meetings.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage the Safety Incentive Program and Short Service Employee (SSE) Program.
  • Stay current with industry regulations, participate in industry organizations, and conduct operational site visits.
  • Oversee OSHA reporting while promoting operational excellence, innovation, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of FAA Part 135 operations.
  • Air medical or helicopter operations experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of HSEQ regulations and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience developing and managing Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze safety data, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
