Meritus Gas Partners , a national leader in gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking a Director of Quality Management to join their team. This is a remote role, and you can based out of anywhere in the US! Qualified applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
The Director of Quality Management oversees compliance and quality processes within Meritus Gas Partners. Focus areas include development and implementation of work instructions, processes in compliance with Meritus standard and ISO certification. Provides reporting of Quality KPI’s for operating plants.
If you have at least 5 years of quality management experience (preferably in the packaged gas field, but not required), Meritus Gas Partners wants to hear from you! A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemistry is preferred but not required.

Requirements:
- 5 plus years of Quality Management experience required, experience in the packaged gas segment preferred
- In- depth knowledge of ISO standards
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry preferred.
- Demonstrated Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously with excellent prioritization skills. Sound, prompt decision-making in addition to being highly organized are critical skills.
- Senior management quality interpersonal skills required. The ability to work effectively with Partners and associates at all levels throughout the organization is a must.
- Resolution seeker needed to define and resolve quality issues in an effort to assist the businesses realize their growth goals.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Provide Meritus Partners with quality performance leadership to meet customer and industry standards.
- Development of RMA program to assist all partners with customer complaints and product specifications.
- Represent and prepare all locations participating in ISO certifications and audits.
- Develop Change Management approval in required processes with Engineering and Plant Managers.
- Assist and develop document control processes for each producing facility. This is to include development and documentation of all statistical data.
- Meritus-owned facilities that export goods outside of the US will need to follow trade compliance standards. The Director of Quality Management will provide onsite training to maintain compliance.
- The Quality department will perform internal audits on a regular basis to be determined by the QD and the business and report the results of those audits to Senior Management.
