Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality to join our team. The Director of Quality will ensure the company maintains the highest standards of quality in all operations. This is a key leadership position requiring strong knowledge of quality systems, FDA regulations, and project management, and provides strategic leadership shaping the overall Quality Management Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Day to Day operations of Quality department and oversee the quality technicians and support personnel.
  • Work directly with customers on effectively resolving quality issues.
  • Lead internal and customer root cause analysis and corrective actions and maintain the CAR log.
  • Monitor, measure, and maintain Quality Objective Trends and act when they don’t meet their goal.
  • Implement a process to strive for zero defects and continually improve customer quality ratings.
  • Perform training throughout the organization and maintain/facilitate special process personnel testing and certifications.
  • Manage both internal and external customer/process audits.
  • Maintain Quality document records showing conformance of Risk Management and Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Gather, document, and maintain the Customer Compliment and Complaint Process and Log.
  • Perform PO and Process Router reviews for approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have full understanding and extensive experience with Aerospace Industry and Audits
  • Hands-on leadership in managing AS9100-certified environments with successful track record of aerospace customer audits and approvals
  • Must have full understanding and extensive experience with IATF 16949 and AS9100 and NADCAP QMS
  • Quality management – auditing suppliers, PPAP/APQP in aerospace context, and ensuring global supplier compliance
  • Risk management and FMEA leadership in aerospace programs
