To build a major-donor engine from the ground up, the full-time remote Director of Philanthropic Engagement will develop and execute a fundraising strategy aimed at securing over $600,000 in annual operating funding and manage a portfolio of major-donor relationships while leading the fundraising function within a small, self-directing team. Key responsibilities Co-create and implement the organization's fundraising strategy, including a capital campaign for the Yolmo campus Manage a portfolio of at least 50 major-donor relationships, focusing on cultivation, solicitation, and closing gifts Lead the fundraising function by supervising the Community Giving & Events Manager and aligning all fundraising activities with the annual strategy Required qualifications 8+ years of progressively responsible frontline development experience with a proven track record of closing five- and six-figure gifts Experience in building a major-donor pipeline from a cold or thin base Strong understanding of US and Asia major-gift philanthropy, with established networks being a significant plus Ability to translate a founder's vision into actionable fundraising strategies Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring staff in a small team environment
