While the majority of your time will be dedicated to ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently, you will also keep your eye on the big picture, setting goals, creating budgets, and facilitating partnerships with external partners, vendors, and your fellow leaders. You will inspire our team with big-picture goals and give them the plans, tools, and skills they need to reach them. If you see that something isn't working, be it a piece of equipment, a system, or even a team member, we expect you to take charge of remedying the issue as soon as possible.We are looking for someone who:Loves helping others win by motivating, encouraging, and providing feedbackHas a passion for providing exceptional hospitality to guestsIs a self-starter, self-learner, and self-correctorIs extremely organized and results-drivenHas excellent communication and time-management skillsCan multitask with easeWho is relationship-oriented and connect with team members, guests, and vendorsCan thrive in a fast-paced environmentCan successfully train and coach a teamHas a passion for working with team members of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levelsHas exceptional planning and project management skillsSkills in headhunting and can put together a high-quality teamWill be a true partner to our Operator and leadership team and a mentor to our team membersConnects with the Chick-fil-A Reno CultureAs Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:Front and Back of house operations, including:Mastering all knowledge and skills of every position in the restaurantManaging cash controls in a safe, efficient manner.Managing inventory for store and operationsEnsuring procedures are properly carried outRegularly evaluating organizational efficiency, identifying weak spots, and making necessary changes to maximize staff productivityPreparing and maintaining standards in customer service and hospitality, food safety, cleanliness, and organizationPlanning and monitoring day-to-day operationsMonitoring the efficiency of business procedures using LEANThinking and acting strategically to support the needs of the business, including:Setting strategic quarterly operational goalsReviewing financial Information and creating budgetsManaging relationships with external partners and vendorsConnecting regularly with all leaders to guarantee excellence in communication for all initiatives related to the operations of the businessBeing a good steward of the business, which means protecting our culture and looking for ways to maximize our investmentFacilitating the team member and guest experience, including:Giving performance reviews and daily feedback to team members and leadersAssisting HR Director in sourcing, hiring, and managing talentFacilitating training sessions at quarterly team member Development DaysTraining team members and developing front counter leadersOverseeing the guest experience and ensuring that each guest receives the best possible customer servicePreferred (but not required) qualifications:Bachelors degree or above, preferably in business or hospitality3 years of experience as a leader of operationsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite productsTo be considered for this position, you must:Be able to work Monday through Saturday between 5:45AM and 11:00PM with flexible start timesBe able to lift 50lbs.
